ArcNebula Codex : Dumb-F Missile

Dumb-F Missile
The Dumb-F is the most basic form of missile. It has no guidance systems and simply flies straight after launch.
The 'F' designation is because it's the 6th iteration of it's type in it's particular range. The Dumb-F is loaded with a chemical which is both a propellant and an explosive. So the longer the missile is forced to fly before it hits a target, the less damage it does. Ultimately it will simply expire and float in space.
It is small, light weight and only really effective against small targets which are relatively close. Most often the Dumb-F is used in sneak attacks on unsuspecting, or unmanned, vessels. Although a coordinated strike on a large target by multiple attackers (all firing missiles simultaneously) can be quite effective on a range of targets.
This missile can be fitted to any ship as it is low-tech, compact, and requires little more than to be pointed in a direction and released. However, launching at high speed or during extreme combat conditions can be a little risky as they are very eager to explode.
Hahaha
I like that it's the Drumb-"F" missile.
No doubt I'll be referring to it as the Dumb-F**k missile.
RE: Hahaha
Hmmm nice ^^
I would have said the F stands for Fart... you know like when the missile hits something you can hear a fart-sound
OR
let's pretend that thing hits your face and you end up having a dumb smile :) which would lead to Dumb-Face missile :P
in both of our statements we should consider ourselves to be the best name-givers of all time... which most of the people out there would regret, no doubts >.>
anyways some aliens had the idea to name the missile "Rock'it"... simple and easy to remember :) but our budget is slightly small... and so we had not enough money to afford to install rock'n'roll-speakers onto the Rock'it. And the intergalactic record-lables wouldn't let us play their music on that. It's a far too explosive way to promote the artists, they said. ...They would rather invest in some more "long-lasting" advertisement, no doubt.
Merry Xmas
